reenacting with the 64th today

The 64th Illinois has been active as a re-enacting unit for over 10 years.  We are based out of Northern Illinois, with members in the tri-state area.
We emphasize the educational aspect of living history, but of course we have a lot of fun with it as well.

As re-enactors, we strive to recreate the Civil War era of 1861-1865, and bring it to life so that others can gain a glimpse into this fascinating period of our nation's history.
Re-enacting extends to recreating the battles and camp life of the Civil War era, as well as what the civilians were doing back home and on the warfront.
