Scott and Mary Gutzke are re-enactors with the 64th Illinois Volunteer Infantry, Company E.  They are working hard to photograph the graves of all of the vets of the 64th.  Here is Scott pictured with David A. Hughes, a Private of Company E who is buried at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois.  If you would like to help with this project, please contact him.

Do you have an image or artifact from the original 64th Illinois Volunteer Infantry that you would be willing to share with others?  If so, e-mail the webmaster and we would be honored to put it on our site. We would of course give you credit for your role in helping to preserve the memory of those men who fought with the 64th Illinois Volunteer Infantry during the American Civil War.
